Why are some shops okay about crossdressers, others not so?
It amazes me that I found some shops run by women who were perfectly fine with seeing my for bra fittings and buying dresses and lingerie. Others were not happy and said I could only come at certain times – even though I may be spending £100s I would have to decide and quickly what I wanted.
I just wonder why this is. After all we are all customers, and I would always check the quiet times to go so as not to clash with women customers who may be trying on something sensitive like a mastectomy bra for example.
I am sure the first time a woman asked to wear trousers she must have got a similar hositle reaction.
I guess because some people are closed minded or even if the person running the store isn’t, her customers might be and therefore she doesn’t want them to feel uncomfortable.
It’s true, customers are customers and sales are sales, but some stores sadly just don’t see it that way. It’s their loss at the end of the day, thought it can be frustrating if the store is selling something specific that you want.
